Guzzi Duet Legacy, #1
Publication Date: July 8, 2019
Genres: Adult, Romantic Suspense, Organized Crime. Erotic Romance

The son of a prominent Cosa Nostra Don, Corrado Guzzi’s life should have been all mapped out. He would be what every other Guzzi man was, too—made, mafia. It’s their way. But when given another choice, the chance to be something more, he takes it. Even if it comes with strings.
It’s there that he might find where he belongs, and Alessio Sorrento. The man who could change his whole life.
This love thing? It should have been easy, but they made it hard. Nothing about a relationship like theirs is simple. Dictated by rules, weighed down with things left unsaid, and already hanging by a frayed thread.
This is what love looks like before, and after.
Before she came along.
And after she was there.
It takes one woman to change everything.
Ginevra Calabrese wasn’t ready for this—for them.
So, what happens now?
NOTE: Corrado (book one) and Alessio (book two) are a duet within The Guzzi Legacy series, and should be read in order. All other titles in the series are standalone. This is NOT a love triangle.

I liked this book and it was interesting to read it,but this definitely isn't my favorite read from this author.

The thing that i did liked very much is that this book is split in two parts. In the first part we get to see The relationship between Corrado and Alessio, how they met and how they came together. Also, probably my favorite part of the entire book:The League.I was interested in that organization since it show up in Contempt. We got to see so many things about them that I just never wanted for it to end.
The second part takes place a few years later, and that's when Ginny comes into the picture. If you read Vow then you have already met Ginny and you are familiar with her story. Here, you get her perspective of the things and of course Corrado's too.

I love the way this author writes, her words always pull me in and I have no problems getting into her stories or reading them. She creates great love stories with great characters. The first part of this book I like very much because of the League. In the second part I loved seeing all the Guzzie's in one place, they are just one amazing bunch.
However I had problem going into relationships.
When Corrado and Alessio meet it's not very good first impression. They didn't like each-other but they felt a certain pull between them. When the meet next time,Corrado is in the middle of his training(which was brutal)and Alesssio is there to comfort him.In their next scene they already have something going on between them.I was really disappointed with this because I didn't feel that usual chemistry between Kris's characters.Sure, there was tension, the sexy times were good, the suspense was there but that real thing that makes me love her stories so much was missing to me.
Corrado was trying to the the right thing by his family and hide his bisexual side, that was unfair to Alessio and I didn't like it,I get why he did it,but I didn't like it.Alessio deserved more than what he got from Corrado because he has given him everything that was important to him.

The whole Ginny and Corrado part I didn't like all that much.It was rushed, very rushed.I didn't liked Ginny's character in general.I didn't understand her and what she wanted, and to be honest, she stood between Corrado and Les and I didn't liked it.The relationship between her and Corrado was based on lust more than love.Just like with him and Alession. In one scene they are avoiding each other and in the other they are kissing.

This book was long, but for Ginny,Corrado and Alessio to be real thing for me,I needed it to be longer.Like this, things felt really rushed, especially at the ending.I just didn't get the same feeling as I usually do when reading a book from this author.Because of that I'm really glad that there is a second book involving these three people.I want them to be real to me and I want more from them.
